DAY 272 – POWER TO LOVE

“Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.” (Romans 12:17)

God loved us and gave us His Son – while we were still sinners and enemies with Him. 

The Bible says that His love has been poured out in our hearts. What this means, is that God poured Himself in us. He gave us the power to walk in love, no matter what is done to us. We have received the ability to forgive and love people the way Christ loved us. Because we have experienced God’s grace, we want to pass it on to others. Grace is undeserved favour. By forgiving and loving someone, we are not excusing that person’s misdeeds. We are recognising that person, forgiving them, and loving them in spite of their sins; just as Christ did for us. We can do this because we have received the power to do so. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer 
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You, for undeserved grace and love. Thank You, for victory over the spirit of unforgiveness. I have received the power to forgive and to walk in love. I step out of the past into a new beginning. I overcome every inner pain, bitterness, and resentment. I receive inner healing, freedom and perfect peace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
