DAY 271 – YOU ARE VALUABLE AND CAPABLE OF GREATER WORKS
By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” (Romans 12:3)
We ought to have an accurate life evaluation, and the key to an accurate life evaluation is knowing the basis of our life-worth – our identity in Christ.
Romans 12:3 does not tell us to underestimate ourselves. Thinking of ourselves higher than we ought to think, is to think that we can make it by our own power and self-effort – evaluate ourselves by the worldly standards of success and achievement. Some people think too much about their worth in the eyes of others and miss to see their true value – through the eyes of grace. Apart from the grace of God, we are not capable of doing much; but in Him, we are valuable and capable of greater works. Jesus is Lord!
Today’s Prayer
Dear Holy Spirit,
Minister to me and open the eyes of my understanding to see my full and priceless value. From today, I know that I am of greater value. I will no longer evaluate my life basing on how I feel or what others are saying and thinking of me, but according to the grace of God and the priceless value, He has placed in me. I am valuable and capable of greater works, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
