DAY 269 – BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.  For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Romans 8:5-6)
 

People can be divided into two categories:

1.  those who are dominated by their sinful nature. 

2.  those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit. 

Every one of us would have been in the first category if Jesus did not die for us on the cross – to create a way out for us. When we say YES to Jesus, we receive life and perfect peace; because His way leads to peace with God and internal life.

Now that we have received a new way of life, let us also change how we think. If we can think right, we can live right. We should focus our mind on who we have become instead of who we used to be. We are dead to sin and alive to God. We are disconnected from the world and connected to God. We are Spiritually alive. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer 
Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You, for coming and giving Yourself to me. Thank You, for Your Spirit who helps me to live a life worthy of the new life. I have received a new way of life and I live in perfect peace. I am no longer part earthly things – I am heavenly minded and connected to God from whom I came from. I will never be the same again, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
