DAY 266 – THE DRIVING FORCE IN PRAYER

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
 

“Be anxious about nothing.” Fear and prayer have no relationship. Do not allow fear to lead you into prayer. Faith is not the absence of fear. Do not allow fear to be the driving force in prayer, let love and faith lead you in prayer.

Fear is not from God; it is an evil spirit right from the devil. 

The Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7; “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. 

Did you see that? Fear is a spirit, which is not from God, and if it does not come from God, then it comes from the devil. The devil sends his evil spirit of fear to stop us from using the right weapon of thanksgiving in prayer.

We can only commune with God by His Spirit and by His truth. Love and faith should be the driving force in prayer. Jesus is Lord!

Thanksgiving Prayer
Dear Father, 
Thank You, for the Spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. I am fearless because Your love has been poured out in my heart. I am full of love and faith. I am in charge and ready to rule my world. I cannot fail or be defeated, because I walk in truth and in perfect peace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
