DAY 252 – YOU HAVE A NEW NATURE

“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;  who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.” (Ephesians 4:17-19)

Living as children of God or becoming Christ-like, is a process. Although we have a new nature, we do not automatically think every good thought, or express every right attitude, and do every good work – when we receive Christ. But, if we keep on reading the word of God and listening to the Holy Spirit, we will be transformed every day. You will look back over the last years and see a process of transformation in your thoughts, attitudes, and actions. Sometimes transformation may be slow, but it comes as you trust God to transform you. Transformation does not happen by your efforts, but by the word of God and the grace of God. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer 
Dear Father,
Thank You, for translating me from darkness to light. The way of light is my way of life. I will never be the same again. I stop living on my own will and self-effort and start to live by Your grace. I have received grace for every day’s victory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
