DAY 246 – FORGET THE THINGS OF OLD
By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
Child of God, this portion of scripture inspires us to forget the things of old. The misery, pain, disappointments, abuse manipulation, persecution and so forth.
Someone told me one day that, it is impossible to forget the pain you went through in the past. I can agree to a certain extent, but I know for sure that it is possible to disregard your past. When you stop regarding your past as present, you begin to see yourself through the word of God rather than through the eyes of the old.
God said; “I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?” You cannot perceive new things from God without renewing your mind. Just align yourself with the new things God is doing in you and through you. Jesus is Lord!
Today’s Prayer
Dear Holy Spirit,
Open my spiritual eyes and give me revelation in the word of God; to renew my mind. Give me new eyes to see new things, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
