DAY 241 – LEARN TO ENTER SOLITUDE

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.” (Mark 6:30-31)

Jesus separated His disciples and told them to come apart and rest a while. So many people are so busy and keep on filling themselves with so much, that they do not have any time to sit down and rest in the presence of God. We need to get to a place in our lives where it is a priority to hear God’s voice, but it is not possible to hear God’s voice while buried in our busy lives. We need to learn to enter solitary places to spend time with the Holy Spirit and hear His still small voice. When you learn to enter solitude, you will realise that silence speaks louder than audible voices of this world. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Holy Spirit,
Move me into a place of fellowship with You. Let Your presence become a priority in my life. Create in me a desire to fellowship with You, daily. Let Your still small voice speaks louder than the audible voices of this world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
