DAY 239 – YOU ARE CHOSEN AND GIVEN A PURPOSE

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” (Romans 9:15-16)

We do not gain salvation by human effort. So many people think that their efforts such as; eye service, family line, position, reputation, good works, or self-righteousness are the key that opens the door of heaven.

Because of a deficiency of truth that God has already reached down to all people –people are so busy doing good things in order to reach God.

We can never earn God’s grace, if we could it would not be grace. God chose us before we even knew Him. He loved us before we loved Him. It was His choice to love us and give us eternal life.

We had nothing to offer, even if we did, we would not know how to present our offer. We were weak, helpless, ignorant, sinners and enemies of God when He chose to show us His love and grace. Jesus is Lord!

Thanksgiving Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You, for Your love and grace. Thank You, for saving me out of this evil world. I am in this world, but I am not of this world. You restored me and gave me purpose. I am forever grateful. Amen.
