DAY 237 – OUR PRIVILEGE AND RESPONSIBILITY

“Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;” (Romans 1:5-6)
 


As believers, by grace we have received the privilege of being called. We have also received the authority and the responsibility to give the same grace to others to share with every person we meet and everyone in our sphere of influence, what God has done for us, and how He can do the same for them.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:7-8; “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand. ‘Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give”.  

Freely we have received grace; freely we give grace to others. The new life we have received by grace, involves a God-given responsibility to witness about God’s unconditional love and grace to the world. God may or may not call you to be a foreign missionary, but He does call you (and all believers) to be Christ’s ambassador, and to witness to the changed life that Jesus Christ has begun in you. 

2 Corinthians 5:20 declares; “Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God”. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Payer
Holy Spirit fill my spirit with courage to share the good news with everyone I meet. Give me vision for the lost and fill me with compassion. Help me to look at people through the eyes of love and grace. Take me deeper in the message of reconciliation and help me understand people’s needs and what they go through, so that I speak to them effectively. Anoint my lips, and hide me behind the cross, that people may see You, instead of me. Amen!
