DAY 216 – DELIGHT IN THE LORD, NO MATTER WHAT YOU FACE

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

It is easy to get discouraged about unpleasant circumstances, or to take temporary unlikely events too seriously. The danger in this, is that you become restless and begin to act out of a sudden overwhelming fear.

Philippians 4:6 says; “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”.

Do not allow pressure to prompt you to pray but let truth in the word of God guide you in prayer. The truth that vibrates in your spirit directs you to a place of peace in prayer. When you reach that place of peace, you know for sure that it is well with you no matter the circumstance. If you have not been joyful lately, you may not be looking at life from the perspective of truth.

It sounds unusual that a man in prison would be telling the church to rejoice. Apostle Paul’s attitude teaches us an important lesson; not to view unlikely events of life as though they overrule truth.

Our inner attitudes do not have to reflect our outward circumstances. Apostle Paul was rejoicing in prison, because he knew that no matter what happened to him, Jesus Christ was with him. Jesus is Lord!

Thanksgiving Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You, because You are ever with me. You go before me; You will never leave me nor forsake me. Like David said, “I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. I am strong and courageous; I will not fear nor be afraid of anything for you are with me”. Amen!
