DAY 212 – WE ARE DEVOTED TO ETERNAL PURPOSE

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.” (Philippians 1:21-22)

To the people who have not received a full revelation of Christ; His grace, and eternal life – worldly life is all there is, and so it is natural for them to strive for the world’s values: money, popularity, power, pleasure, and prestige.

Things control them, and their identity is in what they have earned – not in Christ. When they lose anything, they lose their identity. They have a false identity and it is always questioned by circumstances. But we have known Christ in a way that caused our focus to change. Our identity is in Christ.

We have developed eternal values. Our hope is in Christ alone. Him alone can help us see life from eternal perspective. Apostle Paul’s whole purpose in life, was to speak out boldly for Christ, and to become more like Him. We have taken that very purpose to be our life purpose on this earth. We have devoted our lives to what really counts, without fear. Praise God! Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Holy Spirit,

Take me deeper in a devotional lifestyle. I completely surrender to You, Holy Spirit. Flush out every selfish motive and separate me for Holy use, only. Fill me and make me hungry for more. With You I stand, and devote my life purpose and eternal destiny, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
