DAY 210 – WALK IN LOVE

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.” (Ephesians 5:1-2)

God is calling us to follow Him in action. God in Christ forgave us – according to Ephesians 4:32; “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”.

Therefore, we should be imitators of God, in respect to love. We are sons and daughters of God, but sonship suggests an absolute necessity of imitation. It is in vain to assume the title of son without any form of similarities in values and character, of the Father.

God’s great love for us led Him to sacrifice Himself, so that, we might live. Therefore, our love for others should be of the same kind; a love that goes beyond affection, to self-sacrificing service.

1 John 4:17 says; “because as He is, so are we in this world”. Let us walk worthy of the vocation. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer
I am created in my Heavenly Father’s image. I have my Father’s DNA. My Father is love. Therefore, I am love. The love of God is shed broadly in my heart, by the Holy Ghost. I will not settle for anything or involve myself in conversions, and ideas below my standard as a child of God.  I have received love and the power to love. Amen!
