DAY 194 – YOU ALREADY HAVE IT

“looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

We fix our eyes upon Jesus, the Son of God, seated on the throne of God as the object of our faith. The Greek word for “author” is archegos; meaning the chief leader, captain, prince, and pioneer. The same Greek word is translated, “Captain of salvation”, in Hebrews 2:10; and “Prince of life”, in Acts 3:15.

Jesus is the originator of our faith and salvation. He is the captain whose example we should always follow. Because, we have looked unto Him, He has perfected our faith.

Every person who has received Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Saviour has been given the same faith of Jesus. Just like we did not work for salvation, we did not work for faith; but we just received it from Jesus by the Spirit.   

He fulfilled the ideal of faith Himself, and so, both as a substitute offering and the perfecter of our faith – He is the object of our faith.

Romans 10:17 says; “So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”.

The faith you used to get saved was not your faith, it was the faith of Jesus; that the word of God gave you. You already have the supernatural faith of God in you.

That faith you received at the moment of conversion is the same faith you use to move mountains before you. Begin to exercise it and release it, because you already have it. Jesus is Lord

Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You, for Your faith. I will only believe and not doubt, for I have received Your faith and it has been perfected in me. I have the same power You had when You walked on earth on the inside of me. I have living faith. I exercise and release my faith to bring physical manifestation in my everyday life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
