DAY 177 – GRACE HAS PERMANENTLY REMOVED MY SINS

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.” (Romans 5:12-13)

Adam is the one who landed us in the dilemma we are in; first sin, then death, and no individual was exempted from either sin or death. Many people hold God responsible for bad things in the world today, such as; wars, poverty, sickness and death. But God is not responsible for bad things. Adam landed us in this mess. That is why we need grace to get us out of the mess.

Sin existed in the world long before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone when there is no law. When the law came, sin was imputed instead of being removed – but when grace came, sin was removed, and its power was destroyed – and righteousness was imputed to the sinner. David celebrated the same truth in Romans 4:6-8, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:

“BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS ARE FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS ARE COVERED; BLESSED IS THE MAN TO WHOM THE LORD SHALL NOT IMPUTE SIN.”

Accept and receive His righteousness into your spirit and live always in His grace. He is not mad at you, but excited about you. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Confession
I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Sin and death have no power over me. I am hidden in Christ Jesus. My Heavenly Father is excited about me. I accept His righteousness with gladness. I bring Him glory and honour. I will belong to Him forever; I am separated for holy use only. Amen!
