DAY 164 – LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

Jesus has power over life and death, as well as power to forgive sins. This is true because He is the Creator of life. In chapter 14:6, Jesus said; “I am the way, the truth, and the life”.

Because He is life, He can surely give life and restore life. Everyone who believes in Christ has a spiritual life that death cannot conquer or destroy in any way. How can we not commit our lives to Him, when we know His power and how wonderful His life really is?

Because we have believed in Him, we have a wonderful assurance in Him. In verse 19, Jesus declared; “Since I live, you also will live”. What a wonderful assurance we have! Sin and death lost power and have no place in us any longer.  The radical truth is; we are permanently declared not guilty and we are enveloped in the life-giving Spirit. Praise God! Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You, for removing my sin and for Your life-giving Spirit. Let Your truth be revealed and teach me to walk in it. Thank You, for the impact of Your word in my life. I yield myself completely to Your Spirit – in my thoughts, words, and actions today and always, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
