DAY 162 – LIFE IN CHRIST

“Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:16-17)

Man is in three parts; spirit, soul, and body. When we receive Jesus Christ, it is the spirit man that is reborn – not the soul, and not the body. Believers are brand new people on the inside. The change that happens at the moment of conversion is inwardly, not outwardly. The Holy Spirit comes upon our spirits, and He gives us a completely new life. The Holy Spirit does not reform, rehabilitate or re-educate us – He recreates us. We are a new creation, living a completely new life in union with Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Confession
I am a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come. I am the righteousness of God. I am brand new, recreated in Christ Jesus. I am no longer under the old master (the law of sin) I am under a new master. I am living a new and victorious life with Jesus my Saviour. Amen.
