DAY 153 – THE GRACE OF GOD IS IDENTICAL TO ALL PEOPLE

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that you, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (John 4:9-10)

This woman was a Samaritan, a member of the hated and un likable people-group. She was known as a prostitute; known to be living in sin, and she met Jesus in a public place. This was a no-go zone for the Jews. No respectable Jewish man would talk to a woman under such circumstance.

But, Jesus did, and did not let the fear of losing integrity stand in the way of the Gospel message (the message of grace). The Good News is for every one no matter what his or her situation is, or position, or past sins.

We must be prepared to share this Good News at any time, and in any place and to all people. Jesus crossed all barriers, culture and all religious systems to share the Good News, and we His believers must do the same. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You, for Your unconditional love and unmerited grace. I pray that You open doors and give me opportunities to share the same unconditional love and grace with all people. Make me Your voice of love and grace in people’s dark and difficult moments. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
