DAY 139 – THERE IS ONLY ONE GOSPEL

“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9)

Apostle Paul was addressing some teachers who were teaching a different gospel, from the gospel of Jesus Christ. They were teaching that, the Gentiles needed to perform Jewish customs, especially circumcision; in order to be saved. In other words, they said that faith in Christ was not enough for a man to be saved. Their perverse gospel undermined the truth; that salvation is a gift, not a reward for works. Jesus made this gift available for all people, not only to the Jews.

1 John 2:2 says; “And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world”.

Jesus has given salvation as a gift; to all people. This salvation is by grace, not by woks. Flee, from people, who say that we need more than simple faith in Christ to be saved. We are simply saved by grace, through faith, in Christ. Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord!

Thanksgiving Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You, for Your grace. Thank You, for the gift of salvation. I did not work for it or deserve it, but You gave it to me. I am now Yours. I am in You, and You in me. I am no longer under the control of sin, but under the empowerment of grace. I am no longer a sinner; I am now the righteousness of God. Amen.
