DAY 132 – OPEN THE DOOR (yes)

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
(Revelation 3:20)

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock” is addressed to a complacent church. Some people feel self-satisfied, but they are empty, because they do not have Christ’s presence among them. When Christ knocks on their door, they do not respond, because they are so busy enjoying worldly pleasures.

The pleasures of this world, such as; money, security, status, position, material possession – are temporary satisfactions, which make people indifferent to God’s offer of lasting satisfaction.

Individuals may still open the door and enjoy intimate fellowship with the Lord. For Him to wait for the door to be opened, shows the paradox of grace and personal responsibility. God has already given us grace, it is our responsibility to receive what grace has provided.

Can you put your faith in what God has already done? Grace gives and faith receives. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer
Dear Holy Spirit,

Thank You, for the impact of the word. Draw me to the presence. Take me in the chambers of the King, that I may enjoy His presence. I will always be glad and rejoice in my Lord. Amen!
