DAY 101 – KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE SPIRITUAL INVISIBLE REALITIES

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (Hebrews 12:2-3)

Child of God, be encouraged not to drift away. Keep your mind full of the testimony of Jesus Christ. You might be going through hostile and discouraging situations, weary of so many things, persecution, fear of the unknown,  struggling to stay strong in an increasingly depressing environment,  weakening perhaps to the point of giving up and turning away from what you believed.
Look back unto the heroes of faith throughout the centuries who now stand as a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith. They witness through the historical record of their faithfulness that constantly encourages us who come after them. The life of faith these great men lived, speak to us all of the rewards of staying in “the race.”

Let us strip off every weight that might slow us down. We must be spiritually trim and able to run the race of faith unhindered. There is a spiritual course selected for every child of God. Every Child of God must run with endurance the race that God has set before them.

Jesus, is our example, He perfectly finished the race. Christ stands at the finished line, we keep our eyes on Him, looking away from killers of faith. It is upon Him that our faith is dependant, from the beginning to the end.

He obeyed God perfectly and began the new covenant. He set the course of faith, ran the race first and now waits for us to join Him at the other end. He is also the one who directs us to our God given destinies.

He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross. Endured all suffering on account of the joy He knew would be His afterward. He kept His eyes focused on the goal of His appointed course. Christ accomplished His assignment and He is now sited at the right hand of God’s throne in heaven. Yes, we can be like Him in this life. Keep your focus on Him and Him only.

Keep your eyes on the spiritual invisible realities. Yes you can!
Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord!

A prayer for today:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I focus my eyes on You. Focusing on You and what You did on my behalf.
I won’t become weary and I will never give up. I am not discouraged by the trails of  this life. I refuse to lose sight of the big picture. I know and I know that a great reward is coming to the glory and honour of Your Holy name. I keep my  eyes on the spiritual, invisible realities.
In Jesus’ name! Amen!
