We are CCI

We Believe

God is one and meets us in three persons: the Father, who is the Creator, the Son Jesus who is the Saviour and the Holy Spirit who is the comforter.

Every human being is loved by God and created in his image. All humans have a unique and equal value.

We believe that all people sin against the Holy God, that all need to be saved from the power of sin and its consequences, that Jesus Christ is God manifested in human form, that He took all human sin on himself and died on Calvary for us and rose again the third day. Jesus is the only Saviour, the mediator between God and man.

The church is the fellowship of Christians whereto everyone has something to contribute. There you may share in fellowship, grow and be challenged. In the church you can get help, support and restoration. The mission of the church is evangelization, in words and deeds, and to make people into disciples of Jesus. Discipleship is a lifelong process with the goal to become more like Jesus.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, absolutely true, lasting and unchangeable.

We encourage people who have come to faith in Jesus to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Baptism confirms that Christ is Lord of the believer. We practice baptism by immersion.

We practice the Lord’s Supper, when the believer in Jesus Christ receive the bread and wine as an expression of the participation of Christ. It connects us with all believers in the Body of Christ all over the world.

We believe that baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience that follows salvation. Every believer is partaker of God’s Spirit. To be baptized in the Spirit is to have a breakthrough in the experience of God. It helps a believer to exalt Jesus, live a holy life of love, and to be a witness for the kingdom of God. We believe that those who receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit can receive the gift of speaking in tongues – to speak languages that are not known to them.

We believe the Holy Spirit gives people special abilities to serve their fellow man. These gifts edify the believers and help them to mature in faith. We believe that the Spirit-filled believer bears spiritual fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Relationship and Marriage
We are created for good relationships, to love our fellow human beings. Sexuality is a gift of God for the marriage. God´s intension is for man and woman to live together in a lifelong faithfulness. Our pastors consecrate man and woman in marriage.

We believe Jesus will return to earth to establish the Kingdom of God in its fullness. We believe in eternal life for those who confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, and that all people will stand before God and give account of their life.

Our vision

The Church for All – City Church wants to be a welcoming community for all who want to find themselves closer to God.

”My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations” (Mark 11:17).

Heaven on earth – Jesus lived to make heaven accessible to all people in all nations – City Church lives on the same vision.

”Behold, the kingdom of God is among us” (Luke 17:20).

Through our seven values we summarize how we think it looks like when the kingdom of God is among us. All these values are based on how Jesus demonstrated heaven when He walked the earth as we read about it in the four Gospels in the New Testament. So with Jesus and his presence in the centre we see the seven values take shape.

CCI Kingdom Values

We don’t want to mobilize numbers at City Church but rather want to mobilize workers in the kingdom. (Matthew 9:35-38)
In this class, we will talk about the 7 kingdom values and the reason for belonging to a local church. We pray that after this class you will be ready to join the vain yard with us.

The Seven Kingdom Values
Churches with great influence are not just big crowds, it has much more to do with what the crowd looks like; how are they behaving? What are their concerns? Whom are they relying on and is God’s furious love burning in their eyes?
Through the seven areas that we are looking at in the beginning of this course, we are trying to describe the people in the crowd, and especially its leaders whom will show the way to transformation. This seven values points out what is important to us.
More than anything we want God’s presence in our lives and in our church. The manifest presence of God should be the main reason way people are drawn to City Church. Though people may come for the presence they will stay because they feel loved and build relationships.

These seven areas are important to us in City Church, it is what we value. Not because it is written on a paper and had been said, but because It is who we are and what we see when we close our eyes. I hope that you too, by the Spirit, dare to believe God together with us for a great future for the body of Christ.
