“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” (Romans 6:1-2)

Apostle Paul teaches in Romans 5:20-21 that; increased sin brings increased grace. This does not mean that we should sin more and more to provide God an opportunity to show the greatness of His grace. A Christian continuing to live in sin is entirely the opposite of the gospel, because sin is hateful and destructive.  Anyone who has died to the love of sin and its slavery ruling power, should never want to live in it any longer. A Christian can fall in sin, but a Christian should not live in sin. Sin is dangerous, it is deadly, sin killed Jesus on the cross. Sin is a bondage, a slave master, an enemy that you do not want to entertain at all. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s confession

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You, for Your abundant grace. I am empowered by grace to overcome sin and its lusts. I left sin for good, I am Holy and perfect, I am separated for holy purposes only. I am the righteousness of God. I walk in the newness of life. Amen!
