THE BLESSING OF FASTING

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.” (Exodus 34:28-29)

Prayer and Fasting separates us and positions us to meet with God in a very special way. We become so much aware of God and get the inner sense of what God is saying and doing in our lives and season. Fasting releases the Spirit of hunger on us, which takes us deeper with God.

David said; “Deep calls unto deep”(Psalm 42:7). It is that spiritual hunger and desire that takes us where we have never been to experience the things we have never experienced. Fasting is a portal through which revelation enters our spirits and changes our consciousness. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer

Holy Spirit,

Release upon me the thirst and the hunger for supernatural experiences. Impart on me the desire and the hunger, which was on Christ. Lead me to the depth of Christ’s wisdom and let heavens remain open in my life and mind, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
