WE TAKE IT BY FORCE

By Pastor Wilberforce Bezudde

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11:12)

The Greek understanding of Kingdom describes Kingdom as an activity of God, rather than people, a nation or a place.

The ‘kingdom’ is the spiritual rule of God in the hearts of men. It is the activity of the king on earth. It is the doing of God’s will on earth.

How did John the Baptist take the kingdom by force? He said in John 3:30; “He must increase, but I must decrease”.This was a violent death to self. Jesus also took back the kingdom stolen from Adam through a violent death on the cross. The disciples of Jesus, we must be just as passionate about this violent death to self in order to see the kingdom come in our lives.

2 Corinthians 10:5 says; “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”.

This is how we take the kingdom of God by force; fasting, prayer, worship, and reading the word. These are principal tools we use to subdue every stronghold of the mind for the kingdom to have free course. Jesus is Lord!

Today’s Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Amen.
